Meet Ava - the beautiful daughter of one of the members on the Board for Redeemer Christian Foundation, Inc. Ava is making friendship bracelets (complete with individual names in beads) for ALL 50 of the children at our Christian school in Pakistan. The children who will be receiving them are all orphans or impoverished children of the streets. This little girl with a huge heart has also donated ALL of her tooth fairy money toward our monthly birthday celebration fund. Most of the children do not know when their birthday is let alone have it recognized or, better yet, celebrated. Ava lives out, every day, following what the Bible says, "Truly I tell you, that whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers (and sisters) of Mine, you did for Me."
RCS CELEBRATES 2nd BIRTHDAY
Though Redeemer Christian School started as a handful of children in a "home school" setting, it has now grown to 49 full time students ages 5-13. This October we celebrated our official 2nd Birthday. The children, most of whom are orphans or impoverished, had a wonderful time celebrating with balloons, games, and of course, birthday cake with two giant sparkler candles.
The Director said, " It is amazing to see what God has done here with the school thanks to the love and compassion and softened hearts of people who live so far away. The children are growing in the knowledge of the love of Jesus Christ."
Thank you to those who have partnered with us to break the chains of illiteracy and darkness in this corner of the world.
The first speaking competition on biblical topics like love, mercy, forgiveness, and repentance at the school was a success. Many happy and proud children, as well as a nice meal. Sidraa was the winner, followed by Nisha, Kajok, Daud (just 9 years old and having to stand on a stool), and Saima. Congratulations to them and all the children that participated! You can find even more pictures in our photo gallery.
Some pictures of recent activities. On the top is a birthday party that RCF held for the children. as most of the children have never celebrated their birthdays, ever! In the middle is a picture of three of our newer students. Thanks to your generosity, we're up to 45 students now! Orphaned, impoverished, and persecuted children, who otherwise would never have the chance to receive an education are not just enjoying, but loving and thriving in school. Even braving flooding during rainy season (bottom photo) to make it to school! Please help us serve even more by sponsoring a child or visiting our Donation page.
Thanks to your generous new and continued contributions, we have been able to serve more children as well as providing them with much needed supplies and regular meals. Below are a few of the pictures of the children with their new backpacks, new children's bibles, and enjoying a much appreciated meal.
Easter Celebration among the small Christian population in Pakistan was brought to a horrific halt when a Taliban suicide bomber detonated himself in a park where many Christians were gathered to celebrate Easter.
Women and children made up the majority of those killed or injured. We stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ to mourn these senseless deaths. We pray for the injured and the families of the deceased.
You CAN DO something...Redeemer Christian Foundation, Inc. promotes the love and hope of Jesus among the children of these Middle Eastern countries. Join us in standing up to extremist hatred with the Message of Jesus' love. Our world needs this now more than ever.
The children celebrated Easter with our Director reading the Easter Message from the Bible. There was singing, and dancing, and praising Jesus for what He has done for them. A special traditional Pakistani dish of chicken, rice, vegetables, and spices was prepared and served along with a glass of milk.
Most of the children who attend RCF, Inc. sponsored schools are so poor and destitute that they are fortunate if they get chicken or fish in their diet once a month. We are working to change that by providing a nutritious meal (with protein) during the school day.
This winter, generous supporters brought the Joy of Christmas to the children supported by RCF, Inc. The children acted out the story of the Nativity. There were songs, dancing, and worship. The children were treated to the only Christmas gift they would receive. Each child received a warm article of clothing, a small toy, treats and then celebrated with a warm and hearty Christmas meal.
We are still in need of contributions to supply: Bibles, textbooks, notebooks, and book bags to new students. Often, the meal the students get while at school is the only meal they will get for the day. We would like to provide a more substantial and nourishing meal. Other needs include:
- Desks, tables, chairs, (children currently sit on carpets).
- We have one laptop per 50 students. We would like to add at least 2 more.
- We need to add more teachers as well as a security guard.
- Storage cupboards, book shelves
- A projector
- Ongoing operational costs (rent, utilities, maintenance)
- Our God-sized dream is to own our own building. With God, all things ARE possible!!
Please donate to help these children the world has forgotten.
